Offering Mandalas are symbolic offerings that Buddhists make, representing the entire universe and dedicated to religious teachers, Buddhas, and deities, both historical and current. In this ritual, a mandala plate, or any flat and clean surface, is used for the offering. Many practitioners also maintain multi-tiered mandala plates filled with rice as a permanent shrine fixture.
